What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the application of hypnotic techniques in such a way as to bring about therapeutic changes. During Hypnosis the busy conscious mind is encouraged to take a back seat for a while, allowing communication with the inner mind and access to powerful inner resources.

What does it feel like?

The gentle guiding voice of the Hypnotherapist will lead you into a state where your body and mind are relaxed, but not, as it may appear, asleep - You will retain complete control and awareness at all times.

In this relaxed state, certain parts of your mind are more receptive, and it is particularly those parts with which the therapist will be working with you, to bring about the beneficial and positive changes desired.

This may mean that you will be picturing or imagining, as in a daydream, these positive changes that are being spoken of, and you may vividly experience the associated pleasant feelings.
